DiveFest Fun with PADI

Dive Fest Fun!

Despite the less than favourable weather the British spirit triumphed and a very good time was had by all divers and water enthusiasts at DiveFest, a brand new festival which took place in May at Pentewan Sands, Cornwall in the UK.PADI DiveFest Marquee

As the rain and winds stopped any diving, the activities in the Project AWARE and PADI tent proved very popular as visitors joined in with face painting, giant games, AWARE Kids cleanup missions and an undersea mural made of rubbish.PADi DiveFest Clean Up

Visitors to the tent taking advantage of the giant games were entered into a competition to win a range of PADI prizes. Winners have been announced and their amazing prizes are on their way, including PADI Laptop backpacks and Morcheeba Dive Deep CD’s.PADI DiveFest Games

Project AWARE Patron Monty Halls was present during the weekend and took time to visit the tent for a camera chat with Project AWARE to find out more about the AWARE Kids programme and the newly launched ‘Sharks Rule’ Kids Art Contest for the Underwater Channel.Project AWARE Monty Halls

Thank you to the organisers of the event who battled on despite the bad weather, a good time was had by all and we look forward to attending the event next year.
Thank you to the many kids and parents who joined in the fun and contributed to our fantastic mural. What a creative lot you were!
