Hi Peter,

I checked with our training department and below is their response to your question.

The BSAC Advanced Certification may be used to meet the Divemaster prerequisite for the PADI Assistant Instructor or Instructor Development Course.

Unfortunately there’s not a way to ‘crossover’ his BSAC Advanced certification to PADI. The only way to get any particular PADI certification is to take the particular PADI course.

If he just wants to get a PADI card, he could theoretically take some other PADI course like Advanced Open Water, unless he wants a PADI Divemaster certification, in which case he’ll have to take the Divemaster course.

I hope this helps.
