To assist you, you can also use the following reports to aid in selecting a reputable scuba diving instructor, dive center, or resort. The information found in these lists gives the names of instructors, assistant instructors, divemasters, dive centers, and resorts who are not qualified to offer PADI scuba diving lessons. PADI updates these lists regularly, but if you need additional information, please contact PADI

PADI’s Quality Management Reports

Special Advisories These are designed to protect the consumer from possible misrepresentations by dive operators or individuals. The individuals and dive operators listed here cannot represent themselves as PADI Members or conduct PADI courses. If you have any questions about anyone appearing on this list, please contact PADI  

Expelled PADI Members  This is a list of PADI Members (instructors, assistant instructors, and divemasters) expelled from the organization within the last six years. Those listed are no longer PADI Members and therefore cannot conduct PADI courses or represent themselves as PADI Members. If you have questions about an individual on the list, please contact PADI.  

Expulsion only results after a PADI Member refuses to implement corrective measures, or when the nature of the complaint is so severe that expulsion is necessary to protect the public or to preserve the reputation of the PADI organization.

Expelled PADI Dive Shops and Resorts This is the list of PADI Dive Shops and Resorts expelled from the organization within the last six years. Those listed are no longer PADI Members and therefore cannot conduct PADI courses or represent themselves as PADI Members. If you have questions about an dive shop or resort on the list, please contact PADI

Suspended Members This is a list of  those suspended from the organization for a specified time (temporary status). During this time, individual members, dive centers, or resorts cannot represent themselves as PADI Members or conduct PADI courses. PADI updates this list regularly, but if you have questions about whether a PADI Member, Dive Center, or Resort is suspended, please contact PADI

Member business activities are independent, and are neither owned nor operated by PADI. While PADI establishes the standards for PADI diver training programs, it is not responsible for, nor does it have the right to control, the operation of the Members’ business activities and the day-to-day conduct of PADI programs and supervision of divers by the Members or their associated staff.
