PADI – DIVE TO WIN! HOW TO ENTER
- Purchase and complete any PADI diving certification course (Open Water – Open Water Scuba Instructor) from a participating and certified PADI Dive Centre/Resort in Australia and/or New Zealand between 15.12.2005 and 15.03.2006 (“Promotional Period”).
- An entry will automatically be submitted by the dive centre/resort where you have undertaken your course, after the course has been completed.
- One entry will be automatically granted per course purchased and completed.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
- Information on How to Enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry.
- Entry into this promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.
- Entry is open to all people who are aged 18 years and over that have purchased and completed a PADI diving certification course (Open Water – Open Water Scuba Instructor) in Australia or New Zealand. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, PADI Asia Pacific, their related bodies corporate, companies associated with the promotion and advertising agencies are ineligible to enter or win.
- The laws of Australia apply to this promotion to the exclusion of any other law and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia. This competition is only open to residents of States, Territories or Countries where this competition can be legally advertised.
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.
- One entry will be automatically granted per PADI diving certification course (from Open Water – Open Water Scuba Instructor) purchased and completed in Australia and/or New Zealand during the Promotional Period.
- Competition starts 15.12.05. Competition closes at 11.59pm AEDST 15.03.06. The draw will be conducted at 10am AEST on 19.04.06 at 1/3 Green Street, Brookvale, NSW, 2100, Australia. Winners will be notified by email or mail. The major prize winner’s name will be published in The Australian on 28.04.06.
- Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The Promoter may conduct such further draws at the same place as the original draw as are necessary on 21.07.06 at 10.00am in order to distribute any prizes which remain unclaimed by that date, subject however to any written directions given under Reg 37 of the Lottery and Gaming Regulations 1993 (SA). In the event that the major prize is redrawn the name of the winner will be published in The Australian on 28.07.06.
- Prizes: The first valid entry drawn will win a diving trip for two to Sri Lanka. Prize includes return economy airfares departing from the winner’s closest international airport within their country of residence, return airport transfers to the accommodation in Sri Lanka, shared accommodation on a B&B basis for 6 nights, 10 dives for two people complete with boat and equipment and all travel related taxes and charges. Prize must been taken between 01.06.2006 and 30.09.2006 or between 01.01.2007 and 31.03.2007 (due to diving seasons in Sri Lanka). For a trip taken between 1st June 2006 and 30th September 2006, diving and accommodation will be in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. For a trip taken between 01.01.2007 and 31.03.2007, diving and accommodation will be in Bentota, Sri Lanka. Seat reservation must be made three weeks prior to departure. Insurance, spending money, meals (unless otherwise specified), taxes, passports, visas and all other ancillary expenses are not included and are the responsibility of the winner. Prize is subject to booking and flight availability. The maximum total RRP of the major prize package is up to AUS $7,000 depending on point of departure. Major prize is valued based on winner residing in Dunedin, New Zealand. The next valid 50 entries drawn will win a Year’s membership to The PADI Diving Society valued at AUS RRP $60 each. The total prize pool for the runner up prizes is AUS $3,000.
- The total prize pool is valued at up to AUS $10,000.
- In the event that for any reason whatsoever a major prize winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the prize winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
- Prizes, and any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value and accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
- In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize to the equal recommended retail value or greater value, subject to any written directions of any Australian lottery authority.
- The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a consequence of the use and enjoyment of any prize.
- The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of the major prize, if the Promoter determines, in their absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the major prize. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in their absolute discretion.
- Promoter reserves the right to conduct a security verification check at its absolute discretion. Prize winner may be required to sign a declaration confirming their eligibility to accept the prize.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought by winners.
- In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion subject to any written directions from the various lottery Departments.
- The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this information, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their address set out below.
