SUMMARY: Serves as PADI's direct link with membership in the interpretation of PADI Standards and Procedures for diver level PADI Programs and EFR Provider-level programs; manages basic quality management cases for diver level programs and non-training incident reports. Supports the four corporate primary objectives: safe and responsible diver acquisition and retention; member acquisition and retention; financial prosperity; global operational alignment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Respond to members and general public questions on PADI Training Standards for all diver-level training programs.
  • Update quarterly Training Bulletin cross reference and post to E-synergy.
  • Update quarterly Undersea journal Article reference list and post to E-synergy.
  • Review Instructor-authored Specialty course outlines at the Instructor level.
  • Assist in the compilation of changes and corrections to PADI and EFR materials, forms and programs.
  • Respond to member requests for regaining Teaching Status beyond the routine inquiries handled by Member Services.
  • Research, review nd resolve non-training incident reports; provide related counseling and direction to members and consumers.
  • Field general inquiries regarding PADI endorsed insurance programs; professional liability, dive store, dive boat, diver and student accident.
  • Run monthly report through Memsys (3-8-2 system) of primary CEQs sent out weekly; retrieve results on M-drive and analyze for potential QM action; send Q< files to Educational Specialist for distribution to the staff.
  • Retrieve and review "comments on-line" and analyze content for Attaboys (sent to secretary) or QM violations (sent to Educational Specialist) for distribution and follow up.
  • Research, review and resolve non-member (diver level) Quality Management inquiries and all "Too Young" cases sent in from members or the public.
  • Liaison with Print Room and insure retro surveys are printed and have been given to Mail Services for mailing.
  • Create Required Materials reports as requested from Sales or other departments.
  • Retrieve from Educational Specialist LAO and EFR weekly CEQ results for distribution to the LAOs.
  • Author articles for the Training Bulletin, Undersea Journal and other PADI publications on training, quality management and risk management topics.
  • Problem-solve with Customer Service relative to member applications and insurance application issues.
  • Review circulated forms for review when directed.
  • Participate in staff meetings, and attend meetings, programs and industry events as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to write technical information clearly and concisely strongly preferred.

Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish, French or Portuguese strongly preferred.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Minimum PADI OWSI, EFR Instructor; PADI MSDT preferred.
