Epson Red Sea 2008 is proud to announce a new and innovative category for this year
competition. The new category is called “Winning & Donating” and includes 11
photographers representing 11 different countries from all over the world.
Epson Red Sea 2008 Competition is held for the 4th year in a row, in November 10-15th,
2008, at the Isrotel"yam suf" Hotel of Eilat, Israel. Prizes this year are valued
over $80,000.
Epson Red Sea Competition will be divided into two main categories. "Images
of the world". Deadline for registration and receiving entries: October
30, 2008.
The second category is called
"Eilat shot out", and participants in this category will submit only images
that were taken during the three days of the competition in Eilat November 10-15.
The “Winning & Donating” category is considered to be part of the “Eilat Shoot
Out” category. It was conceived several months ago when 11 websites and magazines
from 11 different countries announced an annual competition open to all underwater
photographers in their countries.
This is true skill and artistic talent by any definition, as each photographer will
have to do his best to make his fish-model appear as the most photogenic of all
and become the fish of the year.
Noam Kotler, who was chosen to represent Israel, stated that Epson Red Sea 2008 creators
sure found a way to spice up the traditional macro and wide angle themes that are
usually assigned in photo competitions. When you come to think of it, this assignment
is in reality every photographer’s dream!
The winner in the “Winning & Donating” category will receive a $5,000 check
courtesy Of the Israeli Diving Authority and will be granted the opportunity to
donate it to an international shark conservation organization .In addition, the
