The Red Sea Turtle Project Arrives in Italy

The Red Sea Turtle Project has just arrived in Italy and it’s already starting to raise awareness on the plight of sea turtles.

Recently, Marco, creator of the project has held a PADI Sea Turtle Awareness course for 8 new students at the dive centre Nautica Treviso – Area Sub. During the course he introduced basic elements of sea turtles’ biology, major hazards for their survival and highlighted possible practical actions for the conservation of these amazing sea creatures. The course, written by Marco and approved by PADI, has been held over two evenings during which Marco also talked about the Red Sea Turtle Project and its aims.

Those who are not resident in Treviso or in its surroundings will be able to take the course on line on the RSTP website at www.redseaturtles.com/education.html. You will be able to download the Sea Turtle Awareness manual for free and enrol in the course to obtain your PADI certification. Please note that the PADI Sea Turtle Awareness specialty can be used towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
