Scuba diving builds corporate teams - a first for Merimbula Divers Lodge

Building the Team 12 KAZ Group employees from Canberra NSW took part in a corporate team building exercise at Merimbula Divers Lodge, completing the PADI Open Water Course.

Canberra employees of Australian national IT company the KAZ Group chose scuba diving as a corporate team building exercise with PADI Gold Palm Resort, Merimbula Divers Lodge on the far south coast of NSW during February.

Acting on inspiration from other colleagues who were already certified PADI Divers, the 12 KAZ Group employees all completed their Open Water Course.

PADI Instructor Jean-Gabriel Machuret reports, “The bonding experience of learning to dive helped this group to create new links and a positive atmosphere between different departments of their company. It was so successful that many of them have already booked more PADI courses and KAZ Group has decided to launch the first KAZ Scuba Club, inspired by their experience at Merimbula Divers Lodge.”
