NSW Small Business Winner of the Prime Minister’s Award For Excellence In Community
Business Partnerships
PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre, Plunge Diving are very proud to announce that together with HarbourKeepers they have been awarded the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Community Business Partnerships: NSW Small Business Category - for their work with and support of the National Parks Association of NSW, HarbourKeepers program.
This prestigious award recognizes the important role that Plunge Diving has played
in the success of the HarbourKeepers program of conservation activities in Sydney
Harbour. HarbourKeepers involves the community in regular activities which explore,
conserve and safeguard Sydney Harbour and is an initiative of NPA~Marine, the marine
sector of the National Parks Association of NSW.
Divers who complete the HarbourKeepers & CoastKeepers Fish Survey training course
receive PADI certification as a Project AWARE Fish Identification Specialty diver.
The Fish Survey course, an initiative to monitor 50 marine fish in NSW is also supported
by the Project AWARE Foundation.
Plunge Diving’s concern for the marine environment led them to become HarbourKeepers
Primary Dive Supporter in June 2006. Plunge has supplied free dive equipment for
Fish Survey training, organized underwater clean ups and provided expert advice
and a venue for promotional activities.
PADI and Project AWARE congratulate Plunge and HarbourKeepers for their excellent
work in marine conservation, now recognised through this award.

Peter Szyszka and Zoë Coad established Plunge in 2002 on Sydney’s Northern beaches
and relocated to Chowder Bay in Mosman in December 2005.
Set on historical naval land in a unique and beautiful sandstone building - originally
