an outstanding achievement with PADI Asia Pacific
Regional Manger, Jim Hutchinson.
August 2007 – Sydney Australia. Pro Dive Cairns achieved an epic dive industry milestone
recently when they issued their 90,000th PADI dive certification. This is an amazing
feat - rarely if ever achieved anywhere in the world.
It was a memorable day for English tourist Ian Davies who’s now in the Pro Dive
Cairns record book as their “90,000th” PADI diver. Ian who visited Cairns to dive
the Great Barrier Reef and complete his PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification,
was overwhelmed at his good fortune. He went home with not only a commemorative
certificate but also $1000 in prizes from Pro Dive.
Ian commented that “he’d heard that Pro Dive Cairns were great people to go with
and friends who had completed their dive course with Pro Dive had recommended them
highly to him”. He added, “even though the weather was less than ideal, it was a
really terrific experience and I loved the whole thing. The instructors were great
and the Reef was amazing”.
Over the past 24 years PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre Pro Dive Cairns
have built an international reputation as one of the world’s premier dive schools.
They are very proud to have surpassed the impressive milestone of achieving 90,000
PADI certifications - not because they are obsessed with volume but quite the opposite.
They are proud of their brand and reputation for quality, professionalism and value
which has created the demand and allowed them to produce so many proficient divers.
Pro Dive Cairns General Manager, Rod Punshon confirmed, “Our focus has always been
very positively on quality over quantity - Pro Dive Cairns great reputation as a
training facility and liveaboard operator has been achieved due to this focus”.
So how did they achieve this remarkable result? Pro Dive Cairns refused to compete
on price to be the cheapest dive course or trip in town and offer an all inclusive
product, built on quality that incorporates many extras. The customers, mostly international
travellers, like what they see and sign up. They enjoy an excellent learning experience,
expert staff in a world class training facility, using state-of-the-art liveaboard
dive vessels.
Jim Hutchinson, PADI’s Regional Manager in Queensland caught up with Rod Punshon
this week to present a plaque in recognition of Pro Dive Cairns 90,000 PADI Certifications.
Please join PADI Asia Pacific as we congratulate Pro Dive Cairns on another magnificent
milestone!
