PADI’s Specialty of the Month Program
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – 13 September 2006 In support of PADI’s Specialty of
the Month program, Underwater Kinetics will award a free UK Mesh Bag to qualified
student divers who enroll in a PADI Night Diver Specialty course between September
and November 2006.
To qualify for the free gift, student divers must meet the following requirements:
- Enroll in a PADI Night Diver Specialty course at a PADI Dive Center or Resort
between 1 September and 30 November 2006 and purchase the Night Diver course materials.
- Be a new or current PADI Diving Society member
- Purchase a new Underwater Kinetics C8 eLed Plus - a high-intensity dive light that
runs brighter underwater than on land and maintains constant brightness throughout
the battery’s life.
The technological breakthrough behind the C8 eLED Plus is its through-the-lens heat
sink: For every one-degree drop in temperature, the light increases its lumen output
by two percent. When immersed in water the heat is drained from the LEDs improving
the unit’s lumen rating by 10 to 15 percent. Offering more than twice the output
of its predecessor (a maximum of 170 lumens), the C8 eLED Plus weighs in at a mere
1.1 kilograms /39 ounces, runs up to ten hours, and is depth rated to 152 meters/500
feet.
