PADI Welcomes 63 New Dive Centers and Resort Members
PADI family expands as dive centers and resorts
choose PADI.
Rancho Santa
Margarita – 20 June 2007 – Even more dive centers and resorts are increasing their
business and thriving by aligning themselves with the Professional Association of
Diving Instructors (PADI), the world’s largest dive training organization. In the
PADI Americas and PADI Canada regions alone, 63 dive centers and resorts have become
new PADI Members by joining the International Resort and Retailer Associations during
the first five months of 2007. This trend runs contrary to industry reports citing
a decline in diving’s overall retail and resort base. As a matter of fact, for PADI
Americas and Canada, diving’s retail and resort base has not only been stable, its
experienced annual growth for the past twenty years.
The reasons behind the migration to PADI vary. Some
new businesses are seeking expert advice and support, while other established businesses
recognize the need for change and innovation. But regardless of the reason, expectations
are the same - they all believe that by becoming PADI Members, they'll increase
business. And, these dive centers and resorts know they don’t have to be in the
top 30 percent of the market in order to receive 100 percent of PADI Americas' and
PADI Canada's attention, dedication and support.
