Dive centers and resorts worldwide are gearing up for PADI eLearning®

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – 16 May 2007 – PADI Dive Centers and Resorts worldwide are preparing their virtual classrooms for the launch of PADI eLearning the week of 21 May 2007. Enthusiasm abounds as dive centers and resorts develop strategies to promote and integrate the PADI Open Water Diver Course Online into their business:

“I think eLearning is going to be a powerful tool for the PADI Membership. It’ll bring in more students and increase sales in a sluggish diving economy. My hope is that it will also bring the younger generation into our sport. … I’m going to treat eLearning like another Crew-Pak option. Now my customers can choose the [PADI Open Water Diver course] DVD or online version. I appreciate all of PADI's hard work and dedication to driving more customers to my business.”  …Mark Potter, Mass Diving, Natick, Massachusetts

“It’s [eLearning] going to help extend our reach to get more customers. We’re airing radio ads in a town nearly 75 miles away at the beginning of June encouraging listeners to go to our website and sign-up online. eLearning will help us connect with new people. Our personalities are what will sell it, though. … This is a blending of personality with technology – a new way of doing business.” …Colonel Echols, LandShark Scuba, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

“There are a couple large colleges around us and we believe eLearning will have immediate application in this market. We’re also targeting the large computer corporations near us that we have existing relationships with. These people are primed for this – they’re actually looking for it!” …Mark Rainbolt, Ocean Enterprises, San Diego, California
