PADI Members Reap $85,000 in Master Scuba Diver Challenge Rewards
PADI’s innovative and successful diver retention program results in 20,400 committed
divers.
8 February 2007 – Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – Touting the message Want It, Live
It, Dive It, the PADI Master Scuba Diver Challenge is setting the standard
for continuing education and diver retention programs. In just 18 months since the
programs inception, PADI Americas has rewarded PADI Instructors with more than $85,000
US in cash for supporting the program. This translates to 3400 new PADI Master Scuba
Diver certifications and 17,000 specialty certifications for PADI Members. The bottom
line? The Master Scuba Diver Challenge is helping PADI Members keep their divers
diving and coming back for more.
“We’re excited to see the PADI Master Scuba Diver Challenge be embraced by PADI
Members and even emulated by other training agencies,” said Kristin Valette, Director
of Marketing and Communications, PADI Americas. “PADI is clearly leading the way
to business growth and success and it was truly a pleasure to write these checks
to PADI Members and reward them for their professional dedication and effort.”
With this campaign resulting in such high success for members, PADI is committed
to offering the Master Scuba Diver Challenge throughout 2007 and beyond, with new
and exciting support materials coming in 2008. PADI Instructors will continue to
reap rewards with a $25 US incentive for every PADI Master Scuba Diver they certify
in 2007, and all new Master Scuba Divers will receive a Master Scuba Diver branded
backpack and personalized certificate of recognition.
As the world’s largest diver training, certification and membership organization,
PADI continues to dedicate major resources toward effective diver acquisition and
retention programs such as the unprecedented GO Dive campaign, the innovative PADI
