PADI® Hosts Full Menu of Programs at DEMA 2006
Emergency First Response® (EFR®) Adds Instructor-level Programs

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – 31 October 2006 – PADI Members have a full menu of PADI Business of Diving and professional development programs to choose from at the 2006 DEMA Show, including two popular program additions from Emergency First Response (EFR) – the Emergency First Response Instructor Course and the Care for Children Skills Review.

Members of the PADI International Resort and Retailer Associations (IRRA) should plan to attend IRRA Forum 2006: Marketing Strategies to Increase Sales and IRRA Forum 2007: Best Business Practices. Participants of IRRA Forum 2006 learn step-by-step techniques proven to grow business. PADI Members applying methods learned during the continuing education portion of this program reported an average 30 percent increase in their continuing education certifications. IRRA Forum 2007 offers an exclusive preview of segments from PADI’s 2007 Business of Diving anchor, the IRRA Forum, featuring innovative PADI retailers offering firsthand accounts of sales and marketing strategies that work.

PADI Professionals and IRRA Members alike won’t want to miss Member Forum 2006: Techniques for PADI Pros. PADI Business Development Specialists walk participants through the latest diver acquisition and continuing education initiatives, then open the floor for discussion and idea sharing.

PADI Members can also explore new markets by attending the Business of Digital Underwater Photography and the Business of Instructor Development programs. The Business of Digital Underwater Photography: Increasing Your Exposure half-day workshop details PADI’s newest specialty and how dive businesses can market, promote and sell the program to both snorkelers and divers. The Business of Instructor Development: Creating a Go Pro Profit Center offers insight on how to establish instructor training as a profit center and market it effectively.

Emergency First Response has added an EFR Instructor Course to their program offerings, which also include EFR Care for Children Skills Review and EFR Instructor Trainer Courses, enabling PADI Members to expand their market into non-diving arenas.
