Educational and Vocational Recognition of PADI and EFR courses in Australia
The Australian national training system, through various training providers, recognises
certain PADI and Emergency First Response (EFR) courses. The training providers
offering accreditation are formally registered and audited by the Australian government
and are referred to as Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
RTOs are authorised to issue Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications
for training within their scope of registration. For more information, visit:

There is a wide range of RTOs in Australia. The majority of training is delivered
by publicly owned technical and further education initiatives. Private and community
bodies also operate RTOs, as do some schools and some large national employers.
