Support Project AWARE this August with Dollars for Dives
For every dive logged on ScubaEarth during the month of August 2013, PADI will donate one dollar per dive to support the conservation efforts of our favorite non-profit organization Project AWARE – up to $100,000US.
If you haven’t visited scubaearth.com recently, there’s never been a better time. Every single dive you log during the month of August will help support ocean protection from grassroots Dive Against Debris activities to global policies that protect the world’s most threated sharks and rays.
You can log every dive you do during the month of August. or your favorite dives of all time. So even if you’re not diving much this August, you can still support Project AWARE by adding dives to the ScubaEarth logged dive database. Not sure where to start? Here are some ideas…
Establish Your Dive Travel Resume
ScubaEarth adds a pin to your logged dive map each time you log a dive in a new location. Try logging 25 dives in different places then share your map online. Those 25 dives can translate into training for 10 divers to Dive Against Debris
Create a Scuba Top Ten List
Log your top ten dives for each of the last five years. Those 50 dives can become $50 in global campaign support to protect the world’s most threatened sharks and rays.
Did You Know? You can share your logged dives on ScubaEarth to Facebook, Google+ or Twitter in just a few clicks.
Challenge other local divers
Are you the most active local dive club? Log every dive you do in August and challenge other dive clubs to beat your number. If your group can log 100 dives, that $100 can help fund innovative community projects and fuels grassroots ocean protection.
