The current Featured ScubaEarth Dive Site is Manta Bay, located just off Nusa Penida, Bali, Indonesia.
Situated within a short boat trip from Bali and the surrounding islands, this spot is a favorite for many divers. Rated as a ’5 star dive’ by ScubaEarth users, this is a dive site that should be on everyone’s must-dive list!
The ScubaEarth overview states; “This shallow bay with its stunning backdrop is rich in plankton, which attracts manta rays year round. Plenty of gullies and swim throughs make an interesting distraction from the manta action going on above”.
Recent logged dives on ScubaEarth have reported seeing mantas, turtles, bamboo sharks and even dolphins! No wonder it’s a favorite of many divers!
One diver described their experience; “A shallow site with coral pinnacles. Weren’t in for 5 mins when the mantas came cruising. They were swimming in & out of the pinnacles like they were running an obstacle course. At one point, they were mantas on all sides of us. Great dive!”
