PADI X Interns – Guest Bloggers
“In the 5 months I was given to devise and execute a marketing plan, I met some amazing people, went scuba diving at some awesome spots, and learned a lot about the oceans and its wonders.
My task was to gain awareness and interest in the sport of scuba diving. With tools provided by PADI and a local dive shop in San Luis Obispo, California, I was promoting scuba diving in full force.
PADI X has been an inspiring experience and I would do it all over again. This internship has propelled me to envision a career in diving. There are so many opportunities and aspects of the sport that can be put to good use. Remember that there are many directions in life to go and sometimes they can lead you underwater.”

“PADI has given me an amazing opportunity to express myself and grow as a person both personally and professionally through the internship program! I have learned a lot about the real-life fundamentals of marketing and PADI as a company and had tons of fun doing so! Everything from working the ASU Scuba Club on campus to planning dive trips for students was an absolute blast! It was great to get involved with something that I love so much and I enjoyed being able to share that with others at Arizona State. Through this internship, I have been able to experience something entirely new to me that was fun, challenging, required me to get creative and was a great asset to help kick off my professional career. I know that this experience will benefit me wherever I choose to go from here in developing my career. I’m very grateful for the opportunity I was offered to work with PADI, and I will continue to promote the amazing sport of diving and marine conservation throughout my life! I can’t wait to see what scuba diving wonders await me in the future!”

“This semester with PADI has been one of the best learning experiences of my life. Being part of the first group of interns here at UNC gave me the opportunity to start something new on campus—an opportunity to leave my mark here. But, more importantly, being a PADI campus marketing representative gave me experience that no other organization would have afforded me.”
